Ciao e benvenuto a Festitalia!  Hello and welcome to Festitalia; a month-long celebration of the tastes, sounds and passion of Italy and the Italian community.

Here are just a few events to check out …

Convivio – Our kickoff cocktail reception at Carmen’s on Wednesday September 8th at 6:00 pm.  Enjoy a little taste of all the festival has to offer.  Try the latest cocktails from Italy and experience the trendy foods of Venice’s chichetti bars.  All for $20.  Call the Carmen’s box office at 905-387-0007 or go the Customer Service desk at any Hamilton Fortinos store..

Mass – Sunday September 12th, 10:00 am All Souls Church 21 Barton Street West.  Celebrated by His Excellency Bishop Anthony Tonnos.  Refreshments following the Mass.

Film  – An evening of Italian Cinema with "Vincere" (2009). Vincere is a compelling drama based on the little known story of Benito Mussolini's first wife Ida Dalsar.
Shown at the Pearl Company, 16 Steven Street, 905-524-0606 on Monday, September 13th at 7:00 pm.  Tickets are $10 at the door.

For Kids! All Good Things Italian.  Ages 3 – 10.  Stories, crafts, food.  From 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm on Saturday, September 18th at the Sons of Italy Hall, 499 King Street East.  Free !

From Hoboken to Hamilton.  Fern Viola Sings Frank Sinatra.  Sunday, September 19th at 7:00 pm at the Playhouse Theatre 177 Sherman Avenue North.  Tickets $50.  Call 528-9841. 

Author’s Night.  Hamilton-raised author Carole Bertuzzi-Luciani and her book “I have a story for you” .  It is a collection of 65 true & entertaining stories (many centered in and around Hamilton).  Tuesday, September 28th at the Pearl Company 16 Steven Street.  7:00 pm.  Free.

Fashion Show.  The clothing of Hamilton’s Jason Meyers from Project Runway Canada along with hairstyles and entertainment.  Hosted by CHCH TV’s Lesley Stewart.  Sunday October 3rd at 12:30 pm at Carmen’s 1520 Stone Church Road East.  Tickets $60.  Call Carmen’s box office at 905-387-0007.
