Racalumutese Club

Founded in September of 1933, the Fratellanza Racalmutese is one of the oldest continuing social clubs in our city. It was started by immigrants of Racalmuto, Sicily who began coming to Hamilton in the late 19th century. From this small town came thousands of people looking for a better life in Canada. From this club came the annual Festa di Maria SS Del Monte, which is celebrated every June in our city.

Currently there are nearly 30,000 Hamiltonians who can trace their ancestry back to Racalmuto. The club is located at 72 Murray St, which was christened as “Corso Racalmuto.” Today, the Fratellanza Racalmutese remains involved in celebrating the remarkable twinning partnership between Racalmuto and Hamilton, and is a proud supporter of Festitalia!
